Sony has announced the ZV-1 vloggers camera…with wrong lens, crappy Wifi and many bugs :)

Sony ZV-1 preorders:
USA at Adorama, BHphoto.
EU at Fotokoch, Amazon DE, Amazon UK, Amazon FR, Amazon IT, Amazon ES, Amazon NL. Centresdirect.

It’s now a decade that “Vlogging” is “a thing”. And it took a decade for Sony to male a camera with proper fully articulating screen on the side. But seriously…you really expected Sony to make a vlogger focused camera that wouldn’t have a ton of stupids faults? :)

Mistake 1: The lens!
The camera has a 24-70mm lens. Every youtuber on this world knows that a wider 20mm lens is much more ideal for vlogging. Well, Sony ignored this basic fact and for the sake of cost savings is using the same eight year old Zeiss 24-70mm lens.

Mistake 2: Crappy wireless connection!
Many early testers reported about very slow wireless connection while trying to transfer the recorded video to your smartphone. C’mon Sony…we still have to rely on SD cards, cables and dongles to transfer large images and videos?

Mistake 3: Bugs, bugs and bugs!
Just watch Northrups videos to see that there are a ton of bugs like: wrong focusing when two people are on the frame, corner AF issues and so forth.

I know I am being harsh here. But if you market something for vloggers it shouldn’t have some of the very basic faults I mention here!
