Samsung NX products officially marked on “closeout” at Adorama.

Adorama

In late September Samsung USA marketing denied the rumors about their camera business closure would be true: “Withdrawing from the camera business is not true and there is no official plan to stop production of cameras and lenses.” (Source IR).

Well now here we are with Adorama officially adding to all Samsung NX lenses with a “closeout” mark (and also the NX1 kit got the same). Damn and I thought we should always trust marketing press info ;)

So for sure we should believe Samsung too when they say: “”Media reports that Nikon is allegedly buying our NX technology are not true.“. Even if shortly after they somehow admitted: “Should Nikon seek Samsung’s camera business, it could be for diversification of its product portfolio.” (Source: Korea Times).

For sure if Nikon is going to use NX tech in their future Nikon FF mirrorless camera they will not make it public. We will have to open up the camera to see the Samsung marks (if my rumor is correct).
