Revised Fujifilm X100 review at Dpreview.

Fuji X100 Review at PhotographyBay: “Finally, someone made a camera that looks cool and also performs well. It has competent autofocus, a nice and fast lens, insane flash sync speeds and overall solid image quality. No doubt, the X100 is shaping up to be the camera of the year in my book.”

There is a new Ricoh GXR firmware Upgrade 1.37. It fixes a bug with the autofocus system (Donwload and Info at Ricoh.com).

Leica mirrorless system to be priced in between the Leica X1 and Leica M9.

Will there be a sort of interchangeable camera?

Leica UK’s Richard Swan gave some very vague tidbits about the future Leica mirrorless (non rangefinder!) system. He talked with the guys over at Techradar (Click here) saying that the camera will fall between the compact X1 and the full-frame M9. And: “Swan expected that any future interchangeable lens cameras from Leica would be compatible with M-mount lenses. As the X1 uses a fixed prime 24mm lens, perhaps we could see an X1 styled camera with removable lenses.“. We can speculate with a price range somewhere in between 2.000 and 3.000 Euro.

In a previous interview Kaufmann (the big chief from Leica) confirmed the new system will at least sue an APS-C sensor (if not larger) and be announced at Photokina 2012 (in September).

P.S.: There is a very first Leica M9-P hands-on at PocketLint (Click here).

More info about the russian NX200 leak…

One of our readers made a correct translation of the russian NX200 rumor:
I have used a Samsung NX200 today: my first impressions are very positive. The AF is very fast indeed (in nothing inferior to Panasonic G3). NX200 looks stylishly and professionally, it is also appreciably more copact, the grip is more comfortable, although a bit too small for my hands. The screen is traditionally good. With respect to design I like it best of the whole Samsung collection (the NX100 is a far cry from the NX200). Together with the new 18–200 lens it looks quite solid. I could not still evaluate the image quality as I had a preproduction sampler in hand. I to get a production item in two weeks and hope to be able to compare it to (Sony) NEX, G3 and D7000.
The 18-200 is expected to have the best price among branded lenses of its class compared to its DSLR and mirrorless rivals (I am speaking about Canon/Nikon/Sony, not Sigma/Tamron/Tokina), this making the kit noticeably more competitive. The price of a Sony 18-200 discourages many potential buyers (the size of the Samsung lens being practically the same).

Some more info from that user:
1. No built-i EVF.
2. The screen is fixed (not tilting, not articulating)
3. The screen does not have touch capabilities

New Samsung NX200 rumors (again from Russia!)

It looks like Russia is the main source to find Samsung leaks! There is a new one at forum.ixbt (no google translation available).
They claim to have tested the new NX200 and it has a very easy and fast focusing. It has a more professional look, new comfortable grip and it is smaller than the current NX100!

If some of our russian readers could help us a bit with the translation we would really appreciate it! Thanks!
