Double leak: NEX-F3 and special Fuji X edition!

That is going to be an interesting day today! Here on top you can see the very first picture of the Sony NEX-F3 that is going to be announced in about two weeks. It’s a 16 megapixel camera with 180 degree tiltable LCD screen and built-in flash (a nice addition over the older NEX-C3). That sounds like a great camera for an entry-level mirrorless camera! But we also have some news for you reach guys!

New Fuji X PRO 1 firmware update and new reviews roundup!

And here it is the long time expected new X PRO 1 firmware update! You can see the press release at Fuji (Click here). Here are the new benefits:

  • 1.Reduction of chattering noise from iris of lenses in shooting mode.

  • 2.Improvement of phenomenon that parallax compensation does not work under condition of manual focus with OVF bright frame mode.

  • 3.Improvement of phenomenon that OVF quality as low visibility due to too bright OVF under the condition of power save mode during pressing the shutter button halfway.

  • 4.Improvement of phenomenon that delete function does not work after viewing continues shooting mode images.

New Sony NEX announcement in mid May!


If the rumors we are getting are correct than we can expect a new Sony NEX stuff announcement in mid May! Sony will announce the new Sony NEX-F3 and a new zoom lens. The current NEX-C3 is already discontinued at BHphoto (Click here). I have no specs about the zoom lens yet but I have been told it will not be spectacular :(  Too bad, I reall like some of the NEX cameras but there are only two lenses I really like. The 50mm f/1.8 and the Zeiss 24mm f/1.8. I want more of them!

Next bad news for film camera users: Double digit price increase on all Fuji films!


We already had that bad news from Kodak (no more slide films) and now there is the next one. Fuji will increase the price of all photographic films starting from May! it will be a double digit increase. Ok, better that news than the Kodak but I am wondering if soon the time will come where even Fuji will have to quit the photographic film business. Hope this will not happen!

Some more Leica X2 and monochrome rumors…

Leicarumors posted some more buzz about the next Leica May 10 announcement. That’s the stuff you may will see:

  • Leica X2 with 18Megapixel sensor.

  • 50mm f/2 Summicron-M lens for $3,300.00.

  • New M camera with Black and White sensor and LCD screen

I really like the idea of a Black and White M camera but I suspect Leica will (as usual) sell this camera as a sort of special edition charging some $$$ extra :(
