I do not post deals very often but this one is really a great one: The NEX-6 with 16-50mm kit lens now sells for $519 only at Amazon US (Click here). This is the lowest price I have ever seen. It’s likely the cheapest “premium” APS-C mirrorless camera you can buy right now!
Egami spotted a new Nikon lens patent. As you know superzooms are hotseller among mirroress systems and this one is quite long: It is a 10-145mm f/4-5.6 lens. In Full frame terms it has a field of view of 27-390mm! Quite amazing!
Let’s be a bit nostalgic and talk about the still great medium format film cameras. While the market is facing quite a hard time with less and less film rolls produced by Kodak and Fuji the medium format cameras still can deliver unmatched image quality compared to digital cameras.
The video on top has been made by the crazy DigitalrevTV team. They reviewed the Hasselblad X-Pan and the Fuji 670 cameras. Really two gorgeous cameras!
Let’s catch up with some lens rumors:
1) Fuji is likely going to announce a XF 90mm f/2.0 lens in late 2014 or early 2015 at max (Source: Fujirumors).
2) Olympus will soon announce the $1,799 expensive and high quality 7-14mm f/2.8 MFT lens (Source: 43rumors).
P.S.: A major bunch of FE lenses will be announced in late August by Sony. But still no specs available yet…
Hybrid viewfinder lovers will be happy to hear that Fuji is likely going to announce a new X-PRO2 and X200 camera at Photokina in September. Both will feature a new APS-C X-Trans sensor. No guys, these will not be organic sensors (they will come in two years from now).
The specs of the cameras are yet unkown. But before the two big guys Fuji will also announce the new X30 compact camera with 1 inch sensor.
Really a great time for Fuji fans!
