Finally a rumor that will happen for sure! E-M Mark II has sensor shift resolution trick!

This rumor is confirmed by best sources. So do not take it with a grain of salt but as an almost 99% certain fact. The first week of February Olympus will announce the new E-M5 MarkII which will have one new unique feature in the OMD range:

The camera has a 16 Megapixel sensor that can shoot up to 40 Megapixel by shifting the sensor (in up to 8 frames of single shots).

So just like HDR shoots get combined to increase the dynamic range the new Olympus sensor will shift of 1 pixel for every shot and than combine the pictures to increase the resolution. This will work perfectly for landscape pictures a bit less perfectly on fast moving subjects.

For the rest the E-M5II will use the same E-M5 sensor so there is no improvement there :(

Next Fuji X-PRO2 rumor: Has Dual-SD card slot and comes mid 2015.

The X-Pro2 is slowly becoming a myth on the web. It’s rumored for release since early 2014 but its’ still not here for real :)

But the day may comes soon when it will be released if we trust in latest rumors posted by Fujirumors. They report it will be announced in mid 2015 and feature the new sensor we already heard about and also a very useful Dual SD card slot.

And this is the X-PRO2 rumor recap from Fujirumors:

Fujifilm X-PRO2 rumored specs list

A dream come true? Rumored 50 megapixel Full Frame mirrorless camera from Canon!

A Full Frame mirrorless camera designed by David Riesenberg,

Well, I am sure Canon will release first “advanced” mirrorless system cameras in 2015. And Canon itself hinted the possibility to launch a completely new mirrorless mount system.

CanonWatch now reports that the launch of a 50 Megapixel Mirrorless Full frame camera is likely to happen in 2015.

I am yet not sure if that rumor is likely to become true or not. But we know Sony has a new A9 with high Megapixel sensor coming soon and I guess Canon knows that too…

From EOS-M to EOS-Madness? LOL :)
