This year World press winners once again used DSLR to take their pictures. Only one of the winners used a mirrorless system cameras (Fuji X-PRO 1). And one of the photographers used the Sony RX100 compact camera.

That’s good news for Sony E-mount and MFT mount folk: Sigma is launching a $450 30mm f/1.4 lens on Feb. 23! We long worried if Sigma would continued to develop DN APS-C lenses for mirrorless system And that’s really the positive answer we hoped to get. The only drawback is that the lens will not be available for Fuji and Canon camera owners yet. But Sigma could fix this in the near future…

Sigma officially started to compete in the electronic adapter world by announcing their new MC-11. The adapter comes in two different versions for Canon EF or Sigma SA lenses. It mounts on all E-mount cameras and transmits full electronic info for aperture, autofocus and IBIS control.

Fujirumors got the possible specs of the X200 that will be announced the second half of this year:
– the 24MP sensor of the X-Pro2 (and therefore also faster AF)
– A new bright 28mm lens (also the Fujifilm X70 features a 28mm lens)
– and enhanced hybrid VF with better EVF refresh rate
– Digital converter 35/50
– Tiltscreen
Overall Fuji is going to bring us some major surprise by end 2016. X200, X-T2 and maybe the first medium format interchangeable system! That would be a big WOW!
