New “old” Sigma lenses for the Sony FE system
Sigma announced a list of new Sony FE lenses. But the big disappointment is that these are actually based on currently existing DSLR lenses. What Sigma did is “glue” a MC-11 adapter on them :)
The only real advantage seems to be that you don’t have to spend extra $$$ on the adapter and that these lenses can do AF-C on Sony cameras. All lenses are now listed at BHphoto with no info on pricing and shipment date.

Sigma will finally announce a new 105mm f/1.4 ART lens for the Sony FE system!
Sigma is finally going to launch their first Full Frame E-mount lenses. Nokishita leaked the image of the 105mm f/1.4 ART lens. The image shows the Canon mount version but Nokishita said a Nikon F and Sony FE version of this will be announced too.
Brace for impact: Sony will announce a new Alpha camera on Monday!
With Nikon and Canon NOT announcing a Full Frame camera at the CP+ show it will be Sony taking once more the lead: They will announce a new Alpha camera on Monday afternoon in Las Vegas. It’s still a secret what could be announced but we know the choice is between the new A7III and a new A6xxx model.
A major announcement will be made next week by Sigma: They will show their first FE lens prototypes at the CP+ show!
Samsung teases a new Galaxy launch as a “reimagined camera”
Samsung posted a new teaser for the new Galaxy launch on February 25. There are two interesting hints they gave us:
1) Their text says “The Camera reimagined”
2) The image on their newsletter shows an NX lens
The message of this teaser is clear: highlight the fact that the new Galaxy may have a new class leading camera module. Still, it’s nice to see them reuse a NX lens image. I still hope the day will come they will revive the NX system (just a tiny tiny tiny hope of mine).
