New Hasselblad X1D firmware 1.21.0 update adds ton of new features!

Today Hasselblad issued a major new firmware update for their X1D medium format mirrorles camera.

Firmware update 1.21.0

The 1.21 Firmware Update for the X1D platform adds to the photographer’s ease in not only capturing one’s shot, but their options for creativity as well.

Highlighted features include a White Balance Tool, allowing the photographer to set the colour temperature and tint directly on a photograph when shooting. In addition, the firmware now offers an Interval Timer and Exposure Bracketing. Using the Interval Timer, photographers can further their creativity with time-lapse shots. Exposure Bracketing gives users options in their exploration of varied exposure settings, capturing up to 9 frames with customisable sequences of bracketing exposures.

  • Browse images and pan when zoomed-in in EVF with swipe on touch-pad area on display
  • Start live view automatically in EVF after browsing on rear LCD
  • X1D – Audio playback through camera speaker during video playback
  • Auto focus support for all HC/HCD Lenses (except HC120 Macro) when using the XH Lens Adapter

New Hasselblad XCD 4/21mm announced

The XCD 21mm is an ultra wide-angle lens for the X System. Its extremely short focal length provides a 17mm full frame equivalent lens, making it perfect for landscape and architecture photography. The lens features a 32 cm close distance setting (1:10 image scale) and an aperture range between 4 and 32. The XCD 21mm features full automatic focusing as well as instant manual focus.

DPReview TV: Fujifilm X-H1 Review

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! In this week’s episode of DPReview TV, Chris and Jordan go to the zoo with the Fujifilm X-H1. Watch as they photograph lemurs, red pandas and maybe even a Tyrannosaur while putting this camera to the test.

The new Sony camera regsitered in Asia with the code “WW771132”

We are going to have again some busy announcement time:

1) Fuji is rumored to announce some new gear within May. We know Fuji registered a camera code…maybe a new fixed lens X100 model coming?

2) There is a 80% chance Sony will announce new E-mount stuff too.  Also Sony registered a new camera code: Could be A6700 or A7sIII.

3) Leica will also announce a new camera as they also registered such a code

No word yet if the big Canon meeting in mid-May will give us some new camera too…
