We got a couple of financial news a rumor and an interview to report:

Panasonic full year financial report: Net sales and operating profit increased (43rumors)
Olympus financial report discloses Olympus will keep focusing on high end mirrorless (43rumors).
Canon to reframe the business, scared by further smartphone disruption, report suggests (CanonWatch).

As a reminder: Next week Fuji will announce a new XT100 camera. Sony should announce a new RX camera in June. Still no news from other companies.

Word on the street says Sony delayed the A7sIII launch because of high demand of the A7III

I don’t know how reliable that info is. But apprently the unofficial chatter at the Kando 2.0 event in California says that Sony had a huge and unexpected demand for the new Sony A7III. This forced Sony to delay the A7sIII launch.

What’s certain is that at the moment the A7III is still not in Stock in any US store.

Nikon financial report shows they missed their imaging business forecast

Nikon’s big step into the Full Frame mirrorless camera has still to happen and they better hurry. According to their latest financial report published today things don’t look that good. They missed their forecast for the imaging business due to missed sales volumes in the compact camera segment.

Revenue and profit is expected to keep going down in their 2019 forecast:
