Future of Photography: Mirrorless cameras with Canon and Nikon at CES 2019

Canon and Nikon each released new full-frame mirrorless cameras in 2018, both with redesigned lens mounts. This has been a long-awaited release from the two companies that did the most to popularize traditional DSLRs. We’ll discuss how these cameras were conceived, and the complex engineering that went into the new designs

Fujirumors spotted this interesting new video from a Fuji event in Dubai. There is a lot of discussion about the sensor size and Fuji future products. And for the first time Fuji did show this modular GFX camera that they have developed. This is not ready to get into production yet but Fuji hopes that eventually it will:

On that core module you can attach different grips or different EVF’s. The sensor and back LCD screen are fixed. I hope Fuji will extend the modularity to the sensor too. Would be nice to be able to upgrade the sensor too!

Full Fuji X-T30 specs leaked

On February 14 Fuji will announce this new X-T30 camera:

  • Continuous shooting of 8 frames per second is possible at mechanical shutter

Next Sony rumors: new RX0II and new135mm f/1.8 FE to be announced soon

Sony is rumored to have a new announcement within the next couple of week. And this time we should finally get a bunch of new E-mount lenses. Hot canditates are the 135mm f/1.8 FE and also a new APS-C E-mount zoom lens.

SAR also posted the lens design for two new FF lenses:

135mm f/1.8 FE
100mm f/1.4 FE

But there ight be one more thing!

Sony registered a new camera model having the code “WW151602”. It’s 99% likely this is the new RX0II as the cameras is said to use the same RX0 battery.

Last but not least Nokishita confirmed that Sony will announce one more E-mount mirrorless camera within the first half of 2019. This shouldn’t be a new A7sIII. Hot canditate is a possible new High End APS-C mirrorless!
