Just like Sony also Canon now patented its first lenses made for Full Frame curved sensor cameras

Sony had already patented this idea years ago (SAR article here). And Canon is now following: They just patented their first lens designs made for a hypothetical future Full Frame curved sensor system.

A curved sensor would allow for a more compact design as you would not have to add a lot of glass to correct for corner issues. No more corner sharpness issues! The trade off is that of course it’s way more expensive to make such curves shaped sensors. So I have no clue when this idea will make it into a real production camera.

The Sigma FP-L could be announced on March 23

Nokishita reports:

It seems that SIGMA fp L will be announced at “SIGMA STAGE Online” scheduled around 21:00 on March 23rd. In addition to the previous accessory, the AC adapter “UAC-21” and the USB cable (Type-C on both ends) “SUC-41” should be announced. Is the suggested retail price of EVF-11 75,000 yen + tax?

Transformable Texture Overlays

PNG Overlays: PNG files with transparency can now be uploaded as textures in LuminarAI. These files can then be used to add special effects to photos, including watermarks, text, emoticons, and other decorative elements.

Easy placement: New overlay elements can be easily moved, flipped, rotated, resized and placed anywhere you want. There’s even blending modes and masks to precisely control how the object interacts with the original image.

Overlays in Templates: Once applied, an overlay can be synced across multiple images or saved in a custom template for future re-use.
