Latest May CIPA report: System camera sales still worse than 2019
It’s pretty meaningless to compare the May camera shipments with 2020 when the pandemic basically froze all the production and shipment. The real comparison should be done with 2019 and as you cans ee there is a big drop. This is a market that will only survive as a niche in the high end segment. Smartphones are only getting better and better and normal people do not need to buy a professional camer anymore.

- Sony will announce the new ZV-E10 APS-C E-mount vlogging camera on July 7
- Panasonic will announce the new 25-50mm f/1.7 MFT lens within 5 days.
We expect next major announcement in September-October…
New Nikon lens patents: 200mm f/4.0 with diffractive lens and a ne 90-140mm F4.5-5.6 1: 1 VR
There are two new Nikon lens patents:
200mm f/4.0: The use of a diffractive lens makes it more compact, lightweight and flexible. The lens would be 23cm long. The patent also includes a 1.4x converter to reach the 280mm focal lenght.
90-140mm F4.5-5.6 1: 1 VR: The lens lenght is 20,9cm

Leaked image of the new Sony ZV-E10
Today Sony officially launched a teaser for a new camera that will be launched on July 7th. Rumor has it the name will be Sony ZV-E10 and this might be the first leaked image of the new camera. The specs we got so far are:
- 24MP APS-C Sensor
- Kit lens will be a Sony 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6
- XAVC-S 4k 25p 100mbps
- FHD 100p
- Standard and Active stabilization
- Auto exposure with face priority
- Product feature autofocus mode (will lock focus on faces unless there is a product shown closer to the camera)
- Button for Bokeh mode (priotitizes lowest aperture)
- Dedicated button to swap between S&Q/Photo/Video
- USB-c tether direct streaming to pc. (Plug and play)
- fully articulating screen
- Sony A5xxx body with no EVF
- Price around $899 (900 Euro)
