Today Voitgländer announced the Nokton 25mm f/0.95 lens. This lens has been designed for MFT and you don’t need to use any adapter! The Lens is manual only (no autofocus). Expected price $1000 and availabilty by October/November.

BUSTED! Klaus Schroff from Photozone revealed that five new Sony NEX lenses will be tested soon. But he forgot to mention that those are not SOny lenses but just Third-party lenses tested on NEX cameras!

Inside a dpreview forum post he said that: “There’ll be 5 more NEX tests in the near future so we’ll have a better guidance about the quality of these Sony lenses … “

SO will Sony not announce any new NEX lens at Photokina?

The japanese website Egami.blog found a new Ricoh patent application 2010-175627 (published August 12, 2010, filled January 27,  2009) . It appears to be a new 35mm f/1.8 Macro lens with following specifications:

• focal length f=33.1mm
• aperture Fno=1.80
• image circle 28.4mm
• macro 1:2
• floating focus mechanism

One of our very good sources told us that a new “exceptional” mirrorless product will be announced on August 26 (Japan time). The product is “unexpected” and no rumor website since now suspected that this was coming! So we are the first to talk about that ;)

That new product will certainly be one of the highlights at Photokina! Follow mirrorlessrumors and as soon as we receive some news about that camera we will post it!

I confess, I would love to own a digital “mirrorless” medium format camera a la Mamiya 7 ;) May those dreams will become a reality?

According to Canonrumors “Canon is having some interest in purchasing a medium format company. Apparently they’ve moved to the point of actually opening the companies books.“.

But Canon is not the only big company moving in that direction. Via Photofan.jp
we learned that “A kind of noise caused by many large companies the agreement between the three incoming. The agreement will create a high-end photographers, photo artists and creators to create the new system.
Samsung, Schneider – Kreuznach finishing and Alpa is a big deal to create a photographic Association (SSA) to create the first fully digital, medium format camera system.
Samsung Electronics, Mr. President, Secretary Department of Justice Park said: “Each company in each of the consortium of professional and high quality system for the medium format of the sensitive components of the professional, we have completed the first medium-format CMOS sensor, and the first model electronic components. “
Schneider Optics CEO Dwight Lindsey said: “To our actual Alpa lens system will fit with the new system, we have taken the same mount, but we are working on a new formula for the optical system and fully electronic oriented. “
In fact, we do not have information, or in this new system will be published.

They are talking about a new system, MF cmos sensor and schneider lenses.“
