Reuters reports: “The company will price the mirrorless camera plus lens at 70,000 yen-100,000 yen ($900-$1,300), which is on a par with rivals’ offerings.“. But as you see form the image on top Nikon just released an official statement saying that “we didn’t release any information”.

If the camera has a 2,7x crop sensor that price range may be a bit to high or not? Anyway, let’s see what Nikon will announce on September 21!

For a couple of hours an autor of a british blog posted a rumor about a mysterious Samsung Retro R1 mirrorless camera. He got the specs at an important meeting. The rumor is no more online, probably because he has been “forced” to remove the post.

UPDATE: The author of the “rumor” asked me to remove the original text I copied form his blog. Anyway, the news is all over the web now so I am going to report the key news from the Samsung Retro R1 rumor.

It looks like Samsung is working on an advanced mirrorless camera which is about the size of the that looks like the [shoplink 100018 ebay]Fuji X100 (Click here ot see that cam)[/shoplink]. It has a 24 Megapixel APS-C sensor with “retro styling” in black and chrome. It has 10 fps and a max shutter speed of 1/8000 sec. The surprise is that it has phase detection AF, swifel screen and costs £616.

Sounds amazing or not? let’s hope this is a true rumor. Specs and price(!) are amazing!

These are the very first Samsung NX200 pictures posted by Summyhub! The NX200 has a 20.3MP APS-C CMOS sensor, takes images at  7fps and videos at full HD 1080p resolution. It features a 3-inch AMOLED display with VGA resolution (640×480), Digital Image Stabilization, Smart Filter, ISO sensitivity up to 12,800, 3D picture and panorama support and iFunction 2.0 that gives real time preview of what the image will look like at different settings. And those could be new NX200 images at SLRclub!

At SLRclub (Click here) a forum user posted what appears to be the very first two images taken with the new NX200. The EXIF data confirms that the NX200 has 20 Megapixels. Yeah, I know EXIF can be faked but in my opinion those are true images leaked by Samsung them self!

And finally Nikon mirrorless rumors are exploading on the web! Nikonrumors found an  invitiation for a new product display in Vienna on September 21 (See image on top). Nikonrumors also said that there is a new image processing engine: “that will be able to deliver some insane frame rates and video capabilities. This new processor (or a light version of it) will be included in the new Nikon mirrorless camera.“.

The new Samsung NX200 will be displayed at the IFA event in Berlin (See Redcrow post and Sammyhub). This means that the rumors saying it will be announced on September the first are very likely correct.

It will have a new 20 Megapixel sensor and no built-in EVF.

On the same day also Fuji will announce the new X10/X50. A mirrorless camera will probably be announced at the CES event in January only!
