More Canon mirrorless camera pictures!
More pictures have been leaked via CR. You can see the Canon’s mirrorless camera (EOS M) and the new EF-M 22mm f/2 STM lens.It looks liek an entry level system camera and very compact in his size. It almost makes me think the sensor is smaller than APS-C!!! What do you think?
The lens has 22mm, it would be 44mm if the sensor would have a Four Thirds sensor size and a 33mm lens with an APS-C sensor.
First image of the Canon mirrorless camera!!!
Finally we have it the first image of the Canon mirrorless camera! The image appeared on Japanese site digicame-info (via Canonwatch). The model name is EOS M (name on top of the camera). And on tha picture you see the EF-M 22mm f/2 STM pancake lens. It has a new New mount called EF-M (“M” for “mirrorless”?). So unlike previous rumors (posted on other websites) this is not going to use a Canon G1X Four Thirds sized sensor! Stay tuned on MirrorlessRumors! We will follow the Canon event live on Monday July 23th! Announcement starts at 6-7 am London time!
Waiting for Canon…..
I am surprised to see how tight the lips around the Canon mirrorless are. According to CR there is a Canon event this Monday (July 23th). But there was no real leak until now…just bits of info. All I heard via my sources is that Canon will use an APS-C sensor and not the G1X Four Thirds sized sensor. And here is a sum of the specs leaked by CR and CW:
– One camera has an 18 Megapixel sensor
– AN EF mount adapter (the mirrorless camera uses a new kinf of mount)
– Two lenses (one zoom for sure)
And that’s it! If you may found some leak let me know! Because right now everything looks to quiet! :)

Double Panasonic press release leak (“small” sensor for the LX7)
So, we just had a double leak that gives us any info we needed about tomorrow’s Panasonic announcement: 3Dnews (Translation here) and Oman Observer (Click here) posted the full press release. The most important new info is that the LX7 is not going to become the new Sony RX100 competitor. It still uses the same 1:1.7 inch sensor compared to Sony’s 1 inch size. Not a smart move don’t you think?
The Russian press release also points out that Panasonic believes that by 2015 Mirrorless will overtake digital SLR cameras. I am pretty sure they are right in this ;)
The new Panasonic FZ60 and FZ200 compact cameras pictures (without the LX7).
Panasonic will ahve the mega announcement tomorrow and we also got the pictures of the new compact camera stuff with the only exception of the LX7 images. Both cameras have a dedicated M video mode setting on wheel (something the G5 Micro Four Thirds cameras has not!). Click on the thumbnails below to see the full size pic:
Panasonic G5, 45-150mm and two compact cameras leaked! (via Telegraph, Photoprice, Nphoto)
Here we have the four new pictures of three new cameras and one m43 lens that will be announced tomorrow (July 18th) by Panasonic. Leaks via 43rumors, photoprice, Nphoto and Telegraph that writes:
“The new DMC-G5 features a 3-inch fold out screen and a top of the line 16-megapixel sensor powered by Panasonic’s Venus Engine VII.
Also launched is the DMC-LX7 and DMC-FZ200. The former is a top of the line compact camera with a fast f1.4 Leica lens, 10.1 megapixel Mos sensor and 3-inch screen. The DMC-FZ200, which is due for release in late August or early September, replaces Panasonic’s FZ150 as its new flagship bridge camera. Included is a highly formidable 25-600mm lens, which is incredibly wide yet capable of zooming extreme distances. Even more impressive is that the lens on the FZ200 maintains a constant f2.8 aperture throughout.
Panasonic has led the way in the mirrorless market for a while now and the DMC-G5 is its latest attempt at ensuring things stay that way. The G5 is capable of things like full HD video recording and capturing images up to 12,800 ISO. Also announced alongside the G5 was two new lenses, an f2.8 12-35 Power O.I.S and a 45-150mm f4 lens.
It will be released next month with prices starting at £599 and rising to £879.
The LX7 is designed for those who want to get more out of a compact camera, incorporating things like full manual control as well as decent low light photography thanks to the fast lens, Venus VII picture engine and 12,800 ISO capability. The LX7 can also capture full HD 1080p video. The LX7 will be released in September but Panasonic has yet to confirm the price.“
