First renderings (fake) of the new K-02…

Someone sent me this (fake) K-02 image. It has a viewfinder placed in the corner. That would certainly be a nice addition on the K-0 series. As you know the K-01 has been marked as discontinued but it has to be seen if a K-02 will ever be made or not.

New Olympus E-P5 leaked in all his glory!

Mobile01 posted this real Olympus E-P5 pictures! The camera clearly takes inspiration from the but unlike the PEN-F it comes without built-in EVF. The camera will be announced around May 10. It will come along three Black prime verisons (17mm, 45mm and 75mm) and the new external 1,3 Million dot VF-4 viewfinder.

Two flagship with price drops (and replacement in summer)

Sony and Olympus flagship mirrorless cameras recently got a price drop in US stores. You save up to $100 on the OMD at Amazon, Adorama and BHphoto. And after a new $50 price drop the NEX-7 has the lowest price ever at Amazon, Adorama and BHphoto (Click on the store name to check the deals).

And this may not be casual. According to multiple trusted sources both cameras will get replaced in late summer! We still have no specs but I am sure first features and leaks will pop out soon.

The (impossible?) Pentax FF mirrorless camera rumor!

The current K-o1 mirrorless and K-mount APS-C camera.

It doesn’t happen often that I get Pentax rumors. But this one is very exciting and at the same time…anonymous. That’s why you should take it with a grain of salt. But I hope this rumor can be read by other (known) sources so that they can confirm or deny it. Here it is:

The new source told us that “Pentax’s new fullframe “might” be a mirrorless, using a newly developed hybrid mount that accepts current K-mount lenses and adds the ability to use newer short flange lenses as well.

Editor’s note: The Pentax FF camera almost became a “myth” in these years. So many time we heard that it would come and…it never came :)

Canon EOS-M…restart?

Canon didn’t capture our hearts withe their Canon EOS-M mirrorless camera. And the rumored Canon EOS-M with built.in viewfinder was juts…a rumor :) But Canonrumors reports new rumors (true???) that “Canon plans to “relaunch” the system in the coming months with 2 new cameras“.

The first camera will replace the actual EOS-M model and the second camera will be a completely new high end model. The autofocus will be dramatically improved and at least three lenses will be announced within the year.

Let’s see if Canon will really become “serious” with their next Mirrorless models! Canon can’t afford to miss the train now!

Olympus E-P5 gets leaked!

Your really can0t have one day without rumors in these period! Yesterday we had the G6 announcement and today we have the next new MFT camera leak. The Olympus E-P5 image discloses a new more classic look and it comes with the 17mm f/1.8 as kit lens. The camera is going to be announced on May 9. This may be the last MFT camera before the summer Pause. We already heard the new OMD and Panasonic cameras will be announce din August/September…

P:S.: Sony is a a lot slower compare to the Panasonic/Olympus duo. It is very likely that the NEX-7 successor may be the only new NEX camera to come for the next 8-10 months.

Kodak shows a new mirrorless camera. The PixPro!

Kodak displayed a new Mirrorless camera at the P&E show in China. This appears to be a fixed lens model with 28-112mm f/1.7-2.4 lens. I doubt this has a Four Thirds sensor (and FT mount) like their previously announced “Kodak S1″. The “Kodak S1” will be released in Q3 of this year and will feature a Sony CMOS MFT sensor and built-in WiFi.

There is no other info yet about the specs and release of the PixPro model. The only link between that camera and the Kodak S1 is that both have been announced quietly in China only. So it’s clear that this is also a JK Imaging realized camera with a Kodak logo on it. JK Imaging acquired the brand rights from Kodak.
