Sony promises to launch new FE lenses very soon!

Well, this isn’t a big surprise but at least it got confirmed by Sony itself. In a long interview session with BHphoto Mark Weir from Sony confirmed that new FE lenses would be launched very soon. And as we all know Sony has a big announcement scheduled for early May I guess these lenses will come in little bit above one month from now!

And the next good news is that Mark Weir promised Sony would release very fast FE lenses too!

Now we can dream :)

Samsung NX mini leaked at European Press Event!

Images of a Samsung NX mini press event somewhere in Europe have been leaked on dpreview forum. The poster writes:

New Sigma lens patent. Samyang autofocus lenses soon!

Egami spotted a new Sigma patent for a 28-85mm f/3.5-5.6 lens designed for APS-C and MFT mirrorless cameras. Not really an exciting lens.

Much more interesting is the news hat Samyang will announce on March 21. They will likely introduce their first autofocus lenses and if we are lucky some of them will be designed for mirrorless system cameras!

Fuji’s new 85-300mm fast XF zoom patent!

A brand new Fuji patent (JP2013/004636 published on 02/27/2014) describes a rather spectacular new 85-300mm f/2.7-3.7 XF zoom! It’s terrific fast for such a zoom range!

These could be the characteristics of the “Super Telephoto zoom lens” pictured on the official Fuji roadmap:

Obviously, the real production lens could have slightly different specs than the patented version. But would you buy a lens like that? I guess it will not be cheap! But it will suite fine on your new Fuji X-T1 which by the way keeps selling wonderfully according to Amazon US (click here to see the ranking).
