Over at 43rumors you can see some of the first images of the GH5s. So far we can say this camera looks like the GH5 with two small changes:

1) It has the same G9 drive wheel with the red ring

2) It has a big red recording button

Teh red button probably marks that this is a purely video oriented camera. Expect a special new 4K sensor on this (maybe 10 Megapixel?). So far little we know about this camera:

– This is a low light version of the GH5. It probably has a new low resolution sensor.
– This will be a more advanced version of the GH5 with improved video quality, stunning low light performance
– higher price tag than the GH5.
– Same GH5 body
– December 15 (+ or – 1 day)

Panasonic will announce the new GH5s around December 15. It’s a low light trimmed version of the GH5. Which means it has less megapixels and it costs more than the GH5!

Both the Bluetooth agency and the russian Eurasian Economic Commission do show that Canon registered the new mid level EOS-M50 camera. Expect this camera to be announced in Q1 2018.

I really though that with yesterdays Leica CL release announcement we were done with product announcements for 2017. But 43rumors reports that Panasonic will give us a Christmas surprise by announced some kind of “big” MFT news.

We don’t k ow yet what it is but it definitely will be something special…

We are only few hours away from the official Leica CL announcement. And here are two leaked images of the new Leica CL. UPDATE: Leica Japan published the Leica CL and Elmarit Lens pages few hours before the announcement.

This is likely the last product announcement of the year. Leica will announce the new CL system camera within 48 hours. After that we will have to wait til begin-mid January to see new mirrorless camera announcements.

From what I heard 2018 will be a very busy announcement year!

A “bird” from the Leica Camera Forum spilled out the possible Leica CL specs

Name will probably be “CL.”
1/8000 mechanical shutter.
Same EVF as the Typ 020, but without GPS.
Leaked photos are the actual camera.
Appears to be a tandem (my word choice) product rather than an upgrade.
Price slightly more than that of current TL2 + external EVF.
No mention of IBIS or PDAF.

The camera will be announced next week!
