Next Canon patent shows the new 9-17mm f/3.5-5 EF-M lens
Canon is very busy patenting new EF-M lens designs. The latest is the new 9-17mm f/3.5-5.0 lens. NOw we got many times more patents than EF-M lenses :)

Weird Samsung rumor: Ready to drop the camera business?
The Korean Journal “NewsTomato” reports that Samsung will quit their digital camera business. Apparently the management decided in July to stop all development.
UPDATE: Samsung officially said: “Withdrawing from the camera business is not true and there is no official plan to stop production of cameras and lenses“. Source: Imaging Resource.
Sigma will soon launch a new 24mm f/2.8 ART lens for Sony E-mount and MFT.

There is a rumor coming form the Sigma front. According to one source:
Sigma is readying a new 24mm f/2.8 DN Art lens for APS-C E-Mount. Expect higher sharpness when compared to the 30mm, about the same level of sharpness as with the 60mm. Autofocus is speedier too compared to the 30mm. Announcement will come very soon within September.
We also heard from another source the lens will be available for Micro Four Thirds too!
