Sony is now showing the A9 on different in store events around the world. Of all the hands-on test videos we are showing you this simple A9 Eye-tracking performance test. This is probably the one feature that will be used by wedding photographers. And it’s nice to see how well it works on the A9!

An unbiased status of the “Battle” between Mirrorless and DSLR!

The video above shows the autofocus performance of the Contax 645 80mm lens on the Fuji GFX50s. This is possible thanks to the use of the electronic adapter from Fringer.

In these last four days you can only read about the new Sony A9. And the web has spoken out: This is a DSLR killer! Just watch the statements from TheCameraStoreTV, Max Yuryev, Tony Northrup and Hugh Brownstone.
Do I agree? Well of course calling the A9 a DSLR killer is greatly exaggerated. But for sure this is the first time a mirrorless camera is challenging the Canon and Nikon 99% owned PRO market of Sports, Wedding and Event Photographers.

The Fujifilm GFX 50S represents the company’s entrance into the medium format digital market. It takes the ethos of APS-C X-series cameras and combines it with a larger sensor. Control points are plentiful, image quality is exceptional and autofocus is precise, just don’t expect it to focus on moving subjects. The only thing truly holding back the GFX 50S from reaching its potential is a limited lens selection (at launch) with slow maximum apertures. Still, it is capable of the best image quality we’ve tested to date and is all around a lovely camera to shoot with.

Early reviewes from Amateur Photographer, Mattgranger and VeryBigLobo for sure do show that this lens has a top notch performance. But I am not sure this lens will get into the hands of many photographers because of the very high $2,000 price tag:
