Canon EOS-R5 video recording features may be crippled due to overheating issues?

8K wow….4k120fps wow! On paper this EOS-R5 is a super camera. But how does this translate in the reality? Canon upfront disclosed that there are some serious limitations. For example you can only shoot 8K video for 20minutes at room temperature. Which means that if you shoot outside under direct sunshine or in a hot day you might not be able to shoot 8K at all. Also the cooling time is quite long and will only allow you to shoot even shorter videos after (see tab on top).

Max Yuryev explained it well:

This is not to downplay Canon merits. But it should be clear to everyone that if you wanna do some more “serious” video work this camera might NOT be for you!

Does Sensor Size Matter? Camera Sensor Size Comparison

The Slanted Lens:

We compare 4 sensor sizes to see how they compare in print image quality: Hasselblad X1D II 50C, Sony a7R IV, Sony a6600 and Panasonic GH5. See how much difference there is in the Medium, Full-frame, APS-C and Micro 4/3 Sensors. Special thanks to our friends at LensProToGo and Datacolor for helping us make this comparison possible.

Ted Forbes: What I learned from COPYING a MASTER Photograph

Ted Forbes:

In our latest photo assignment, we’ve been studying the still life photographs of Josef Sudek. I’ve been working on a few of these myself and I want to share the results here. The key to think about when recreating these still life images is what is the intent? Once you start executing the details will tell you even more. This is a great way to learn how to see as well as understand the intention of the photographer.
